Montecristi,- Only two months and 15 days after it was inaugurated by the President of the Republic Luis Abinader, at a cost of 300 million pesos, the road that links this province with Dajabòn presents a notorious deterioration in several stretches of the 32.40 kilometers route.
The irregularities consist in the fact that the asphalt layer is raw, as it passes through the communities of Copey, Carbonera, Cañongo and the entrance to Dajabón, among other points.
Apparently the material used to pave the road was not well processed because when the sun rises it begins to melt with the high temperature, which is aggravated by the passage of vehicles.
Other irregularities that are attributed to them, is the lack of maintenance by the Ministry of Public Works, in the walkways or pedestrian walkways, which are full of weeds that do not allow the parking of vehicles, so many are parked on top of the road causing traffic accidents.
