In Montecristi, gas bottling plant robbed at shotgun point

Montecristi, Dominican Republic.  Early Monday morning, the gas bottling company Transpesa was robbed, carrying an undetermined amount of cash and a battery of the electric plant, located on the Duarte highway kilometer 4 Montecristi-Villa Vásquez.

According to the security guard Francisco Antonio González, in order to get him out of the room, the thieves shot him with a shotgun at the door and he presumes that they were foreigners because of their accent and their dark complexion. 

A source linked to the company said that the amount could exceed 300,000 pesos. So far, according to the prosecutor Grimaldi Oviedo, no formal complaint has been filed about the situation, but the DICRIM department of the national police is carrying out the investigation.
