Health Authorities issue epidemiologic alert for covid-19

In view of the increase in the number of cases and the frequentation of medical clinics, the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) issued a nationwide epidemiological alert for Coronavirus.

Through the General Directorate of Epidemiology (Digepi), the agency urged the population to be attentive to the progress of the disease and to refrain from having close contact with people experiencing severe respiratory illnesses.

It also called on society in general to wash their hands, especially after having direct contact with sick people in their current situation, to maintain distancing measures in open and poorly ventilated spaces, and to use masks to prevent the transmission of Sars Cov 2 infection, even in open places such as parks, squares and promenades.

The welfare organization also encouraged the public to go to vaccination posts to get the antibody that counteracts the effects of the viral condition.

"It has been demonstrated that 80% of the individuals admitted for Coronavirus had not been inoculated," expressed the element.

In a specific order, the administrative element suggested to people suffering from diabetes, hypertension or fatness grade 2 or 3, to try not to visit Greater Santo Domingo.
